Uzbek students to study in Japan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Japan signed exchange notes on implementation of the project on education of Uzbek students in Japan.
The exchange notes were signed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Adham Ikraimov and Japan Ambassador to Uzbekistan Fumihiko Kato.
The Government of Japan will provide 204 million yens (about US$2.06 million) to implementation of the project, which will allow 14 students from Uzbekistan to undergo internship in Japan from August 2013.
The project “Providing stipends for training of cadres” has been implemented by the Government of Japan since 1999. It is aimed at training high skilled cadres and public servants.
So far, about 236 students from Uzbekistan studied at Master Courses in the Japanese universities. The Japan Government issued 3.96 billion yens to finance the project.
