Uzbekneftegaz to attract US$100m loan of Korean Eximbank

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekneftegaz national holding company is planning to attract loan of Eximbank of South Korea for US$100 million to creation of automated system on control and accounting natural gas in 2013.
The project is developed with participation of foreign financing. Eximbank of South Korea expressed interest and the sides started to work together, Energonews reported source in the government.
The source said that the sides reached agreement that Eximbank will allocate grant for US$400,000 to develop feasibility study of the project in the second half of 2013.
Uztransgas is planning to implement the project among consumer in Tashkent city and Tashkent region. The preliminary cost of the project is US$200 million. It is planned to install 1.04 million smart gas meters in two areas.
The project will also create billing and communication systems, and system on data management. The project will be implemented within two years.
