Number of statistic reporting forms decrease 2.6 times

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Number of statistic reporting forms in Uzbekistan decreased from 379 to 145 or 2.6 times in 2000-2012, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
The committee said that from 1 January 2013, it will abolish 65 forms of current 210 forms of statistics reporting. It added that periodicity of submitting reports on 12 forms were changed from 1 July 2012 and on 11 forms – from 1 January 2013.
From 1 January 2013, microfirms will start to submit statistic reports once a year, while statistics bodies will conduct selective research on selected directions.
The measures are directed at improving business environment and creating favourable conditions for doing business due to improving reporting system.
The committee said that this is continuation of the measures on simplification of statistic reporting in the country, which was started by the Government of Uzbekistan.
State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said that businesses submitted statistics reports on 279 forms in 2000 and the government abolished 23 forms of statistics reporting and unified 23 more forms in 2002. The government also changed periodicity of submitting reports on 18 forms.
A year later, the committee abolished 17 forms and six forms were transferred to departmental reporting. Periodicity of submitting reports on 5 forms were decreased. Number of users were cut on 7 forms of statistics reporting.
The committee added that from 2000 Uzbekistan decreased number of statistics reporting forms from 379 to 145, or 2.6 times.
