The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) on 12–16 November supports training on Long Term Population projections for staff of the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This five-day educational activity conducted by international consultant aims at strengthening national capacity in demography and population statistics, including data collection and analysis, a press release of UNFPA said.
The staff of State Statistics Committee will be trained on demographic indicators and methodology of population projections, and application of the special software for making population projections
During the course, participants will also discuss such issues as basic concepts and measures, sources and quality of population data.
