A 4.5-5 magnitude earthquake hits Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A strong earthquake has been registered in Uzbekistan at 00:36 Tashkent time on 20 July 2011 with the epicenter in neighbouring Kyrgyz Republic.
Tremors were felt for about a minute in the capital of Uzbekistan. Chandeliers and furniture were shaking. Signalization of cars had worked from earthquake.
Tashkent Seismic station said that magnitude of earthquake in the Uzbek capital, Ferghana and Namangan made up 4.5-5, Termez - 4 and Samarkand - 3.
According to the US Geology Survey, the epicenter of earthquake was in Kyrgyz Republic, 227 km to south east from Tashkent, 43 km from Ferghana, 60 km from Qoqand and 98 km from Namangan and its magnitude was 6.2.
