Uzbek envoy hands over credential to Czech President

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the Czech Republic with residence in Berlin Dilshod Ahatov handed over credential to the Czech President Vaclav Klaus.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on current state and perspectives of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Czech Republic in politics, social-economic, cultural-humanitarian spheres, Jahon reported.
The Czech President Vaclav Klaus underlined that he highly rates personals contacts with the Uzbek President Islam Karimov. He said that the Czech Republic considers Uzbekistan as important partner. He said that the Czech Republic and Uzbekistan had firm historic relations.
Vaclav Klaus underlined interest of the Czech Republic in further strengthening relations with Uzbekistan.
