Non-state sector produces 81.5% of industrial output in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Non-state sector is occupying important positions in economy of Uzbekistan. According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, share of the non-state sector in GDP of Uzbekistan was 77.5% in January-June 2010.

The sector produced 81.5% of industrial output and 99.9% of agriculture production of Uzbekistan in the reporting period. Some 92.7% of construction works were implemented by the non-state sector.

Share of the sector in transportation made up 55.2%, communication – 95% and retail trade turnover – 99.8%. The sector rendered 76.8% of paid services in Uzbekistan in January-June 2010.

The non-state sector’s share in foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan comprised 74.5% in the first half of 2010. The sector provided employment to 79% of all occupied in economy.
