Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed decrees on awarding FIFA referee Ravshan Irmatov and his assistant Rafael Ilyasov on 20 July 2010.
In line with the presidential decrees, Ravshan Irmatov was conferred title “Uzbekistan iftihori” (Honour of Uzbekistan, while Rafael Ilyasov was awarded with Dustlik order (Friendship).
The referees were awarded “for their services for glorification of national football worldwide, great contribution for raising its authority in international arena and developing referee school in the country.”
Ravshan Irmatov and his assistants Rafael Ilyasov and Bakhodir Kuchkarov (Kyrgyz Republic) officiated five matches in the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, including quarterfinal match Argentina-Germany and semifinal clash the Netherlands-Uruguay.
