Uzbek special services seize 17.5kg of heroin

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Officers of National Security Service of Uzbekistan seized 17.5 kg of heroin from citizens of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The officers detained 21-year old Tajik citizen, who was illegally passing state border in Bekabad district of Tashkent region. During inspection, the officers of law enforcement bodies found 2 kg of heroin. Detainee said that he received US$200 for drug dealer for smuggling drugs.
National security service officers found 9.5 kg of heroin under seat of truck at Korasuv patrol post in Tashkent region. Bekabad citizen said that he was transport drug of Tajik dealer to Kazakhstan for US$1,800.
Two citizens of Tajikistan and one of Uzbekistan were detained in Tashkent city at the transit train, which was heading to Russia. They were detained with 6 kg of heroin and large sum of hard currency.
Investigations are underway.
