SCO Foreign Ministers approve draft regulation on accepting new members

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) approved a draft regulation on accepting new members to the organization on Saturday, 22 May.
The regulation will lay foundation for formation of legal base for expanding structure of the organization due to accession of new states.
The document said new member countries of the SCO should adhere to aims and principles of the organization’s charter.
Currently, the SCO members are China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
