Over 22 kg of heroin seized in Uzbek south
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Officers from the Uzun district police department in Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan have uncovered activities of a group of drug traffickers who prepared about 22.5 kg of heroin for selling.
Initially, one of the drug traffickers was detained with several doses of heroin in one of the traffic police posts. Three more members of the group were uncovered and detained during further investigations. The leader of the group turned out to be a Tajik citizen.
About 22.5 kg of drugs were extracted from a cache. A rapid examination showed that the substance was heroin. A criminal case was launched, investigation is under way.
