Over 15,500 enterprises with foreign investment were registered in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 March, a total of 15,503 enterprises with foreign investment were registered in Uzbekistan, reflecting an increase of 340 compared to the previous month, according to the National Statistics Committee.
Of these, 4,011 are joint ventures, while 11,492 are fully owned by foreign founders.
China continues to lead among countries whose investors are actively developing businesses in Uzbekistan. In March, the number of Chinese-owned enterprises grew by 109, reaching a total of 3,576.
Russia remains in second place with 3,016 companies, an increase of 43 compared to February. Türkiye ranks third, with 1,899 registered firms—30 more than the previous month.
Kazakh investors are steadily expanding their presence, with 1,082 enterprises now operating in Uzbekistan, up by 22 from the previous month.
South Korean businesses have shown a more moderate increase, adding just two new companies in March, bringing the total to 662.
Following them are the UAE with 347 enterprises, Tajikistan with 329, and India with 316.
American investment is also strengthening its foothold, with the number of U.S.-affiliated companies increasing by four to reach 307. Closing out the top ten is Kyrgyzstan, with 303 registered enterprises.
