Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Warsaw hosted an event dedicated to the country’s tourism potential and the opening of flights of the Polish airline LOT Polish Airlines on the Warsaw-Tashkent-Warsaw route from 13 March 2024.

The event was attended by the management of LOT Polish Airlines, representatives of the media, leading Polish tour operators specializing in providing tourism services in Uzbekistan, as well as Uzbek compatriots.

The presentation provided detailed information about large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan, the state and prospects of Uzbek-Polish cooperation and the country’s tourism potential. It was noted that Uzbekistan and Poland maintain friendly relations, and an increase in the number of Polish tourists visiting Uzbekistan is expected.

Director of the Sales Department of LOT Polish Airlines Marta Wisniewska expressed the interest of the European Union countries in developing tourism exchanges with Uzbekistan and expressed hope for successful cooperation in the tourism sector between Poland and Uzbekistan.

Zuzanna Wojcik, Director of the LOT Polish Airlines Department, noted: “I am confident that from 13 March 2024, the launch of LOT Polish Airlines flights on the Warsaw-Tashkent-Warsaw route will stimulate the flow of Polish tourists visiting your country.”

As part of the event, guests were presented with videos about the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, and promotional materials and brochures were also distributed. Visitors could also enjoy Uzbek cuisine.
