The Majlis Research Center has stressed Iran’s purposeful defense and security cooperation with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, presstv.ir reported.
"Iran’s purposeful cooperation with the SCO will enhance Iran’s power in nuclear diplomacy and strengthen the country’s strategic role in security development of the Middle East," the center announced.
"It will also weaken psychological warfare of US media that tries to isolate Iran and legalize adoption of chain resolutions against the country," it added.
Referring to the potential of the SCO member states and its observers, the center said campaigns against illicit drugs, strengthening economic and security cooperation and common plans in various energy fields would provide different strategies to make utmost use of the organization.
As a political, economic and security body, the SCO has six main members including Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, China and Uzbekistan while Iran, Mongolia, Pakistan and India are observers.
