Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Until 1 August 2025, buses and minibuses imported by entrepreneurs working in the tourism sector in Uzbekistan will be exempt from customs duties.
This is specified in the Presidential decree "On Additional Measures to Improve Tourism Infrastructure and Increase the Flow of Foreign Tourists to the Republic of Uzbekistan."
Tour operators registered and licensed in Karakalpakstan will be able to pay customs duties and utilization fees for importing high-performance vehicles with an engine capacity of at least 2.4 liters for organizing extreme tours at 25% of the current rate in installments over three years.
From 1 January 2025, at least 1 billion sums from local budgets of hokimiyats will be allocated for participation in international tourism fairs and exhibitions, the list of which will be formed by the Tourism Committee.
About 50% of the costs for renting pavilions at international tourism fairs and exhibitions will be covered for tour operators who have been operating for less than three years.
Additionally, 50% of the costs for renting pavilions at international tourism fairs and exhibitions, as well as the transportation of their products and air tickets, will be covered for artisans.
