His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, discussed bilateral relations and international developments with Uzbek officials yesterday.

Brunei’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade later met Anvar Salikhbaev, Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs at the Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan.

The leaders exchanged views on regional and international developments and discussed ways of enhancing relations for the mutual benefit of the two countries.

Salikhbaev is currently on a three-day-visit to Brunei, The Brunei Times reported.

Uzbekistan, situated in Central Asia, is now the world’s second largest cotton exporter and fifth largest producer. More than 60% of its population of about 27 million, live in densely populated rural communities.
