Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 21 January 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with the Ambassador of Belarus Leonid Marinich, who is concluding his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.

"It is pleasing to note the positive dynamics of relations between our countries, which are developing in all areas. However, the potential for bilateral cooperation remains significantly broader," emphasized the head of Uzbekistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we express our deep gratitude to the Ambassador for his many years of work and significant contribution to strengthening the friendly ties between Uzbekistan and Belarus," added Saidov.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has appointed a new Ambassador to Uzbekistan. The new ambassador is Alexander Ogorodnikov, who previously served as the Deputy Minister of Industry of Belarus.
