Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The AFC has asked clubs taking part in next year’s AFC Champions League and AFC Cup to ensure they meet stadium requirements pertaining to floodlighting.
For ACL 2010, the stadiums of participating clubs must fulfil the minimum requirement of 1,200 lux for floodlights. They are also strongly urged to enforce an evening kick-off time.
For the AFC Cup 2010, the regulations depend on the clubs involved.
For clubs new to the competition or who have new stadiums and their floodlights are less than 1,200 lux, home matches will be allowed in the afternoon. This will be allowed only for the 2010 season.
For clubs with previous competition experience playing in the same stadium, if the floodlights fail to meet requirements, they must be upgraded to a minimum of 1,200 lux.
