Uzbekistan - Russia: issues of cooperation in the field of tourism, culture and museums discussed
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage between Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov and Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Nadezhda Reverend.
The sides discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism, culture and museums.
In addition, it was noted that the “Conference of museum representatives of Uzbekistan and Russia” held on 18-19 November in Tashkent is of great importance in the further development of cooperation between the museums of Uzbekistan and Russia.
The parties discussed in detail the program of the Russian Season project, which is planned to be held in Uzbekistan in 2023. At the same time, specific measures have been identified to speed up work on copying the cultural values of Uzbekistan in Russia, and to collect information about them.
At the end of the meeting, it was decided to conduct a visit of Russian restorers to Uzbekistan in order to further develop cooperation in the field of museums, restoration of cultural heritage sites, as well as exchange of experience.
