UZEX: Prices for grain, liquefied gas and polyethylene decreased

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Over the past week, that is, for the period from 15 to 21 August, goods worth 2.6 trillion soums were sold on all trading platforms of the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange JSC, which 7.7% more than the previous week. Of these, 73.2% of sales came from exchange auctions, 26.5% - from electronic public procurement, 0.1% - from exhibition and fair sales, and 0.2% - from online auctions of license plates.

The total volume of transactions involving small businesses and private entrepreneurship amounted to 585.1 billion soums. As a result of electronic auctions for public procurement, the total savings of budgetary and corporate customers amounted to 96.2 billion soums.

During the period under review, 1,400 license plates were sold in the amount of 5.2 billion soums through an online auction. As a result of competitive bidding, 9.3% of completed transactions fall on transactions on premium autonumbers, 8.6% of transactions on the 2nd category, 6.6% on the 3rd category, 9.4% on the 4th category, 19.1% for the 5th category, as well as 47.1% for the 6th category of license plates.

Exchange trading

During the reporting period, commodity resources worth 1.9 trillion soums were sold at open exchange auctions. Selling enterprises put goods up for exchange auctions in accordance with approved schedules, including:

Corn

Last week, 53,055.0 tons of grain were sold through exchange trading. An average of 51 buyers took part in exchange trading daily. The daily sales volume averaged 10,611.0 tons.

During the period under review, the daily average price for grain decreased from 3.59 million soums to 3.52 million soums per ton, or by 1.8%.

Liquefied gas

On the exchange market of liquefied natural gas, a decrease in prices was recorded. During the past week, 3,156.0 tons of liquefied gas were put up for sale, of which 3,126.0 tons, or 99%, were sold. An average of 153 buyers took part in exchange trading daily.

During the period under review, the daily average price for liquefied gas decreased from 5.25 million soums to 4.64 million soums per ton, or by 11.6%.

Polyethylene

During the past week, 3,040.0 tons of polyethylene were put up for sale, of which 2,972.0 tons or 97.7% were sold. The daily sales of polyethylene averaged 594.0 tons.

During the period under review, the daily average price for polyethylene of all grades decreased from 18.16 million soums to 14.05 million soums per ton, or by 22.6%. Every day, an average of 79 buyers took part in exchange trading.
