The thirty-first plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The plenary session was attended by members of the Senate, representatives of relevant departments and organizations, as well as media workers.

The plenary session, which was held in the format of videoconferencing, was chaired by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva.

Senators discussed the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the establishment of the Order" Imom Bukhoriy ".

It was noted that since the first days of independence, special attention has been paid to the study and wide promotion in the international arena of the life and scientific heritage of great scientists and thinkers who have made a huge contribution to the development of science and culture, including Islamic enlightenment.

In particular, in order to comprehensively study, widely promote and agitate the true essence of the religion of Islam, the Koran and hadith studies, the scientific and spiritual foundations of the school of hadith studies, the heritage of great hadith scholars born in our country, such as Imam Bukhari, Imam Termizi. The Imam Bukhari International Research Center was established in Samarkand, construction and repair work was carried out at the shrines of Abu Iso Muhammad Termizi in the Sherabad district of the Surkhandarya region, Abul-Muyina al-Nasafi in the Karshi region and other holy places.

Such good undertakings received wide support from our compatriots and the international community. At the initiative of the President of our country, in 2017, the Center for Islamic Civilization was established in Tashkent.

In these research centers, many scientists and researchers conduct scientific research to deeply study the scientific heritage of our great scientists, bring to the international community their great contribution to the development of Islamic enlightenment and world science, as well as scientific research on the rich heritage associated with the sacred religion of Islam, promoting its role in the development of the civilization of Central Asia by innovative methods, conveying to the population of the country, especially young people, the meaning and essence of the nationwide upsurge and historical renaissances that took place in Uzbekistan.

The senators who spoke emphasized that the establishment of the Imom Bukhoriy Order dictates the time itself in order to encourage citizens for their great successes in studying and widely promoting in the international arena the life and scientific heritage of great scientists and thinkers who have made a huge contribution to the development of science and culture, including among the Islamic enlightenment.

It was noted that the Law on the establishment of this order approves the position of the order "Imom Bukhoriy" and its description. Appropriate amendments and additions are also made to the Law “On State Awards”.

The Imom Bukhoriy Order consists of two degrees: the Oli Darajali Imom Bukhoriy Order and the Imom Bukhoriy Order. The Order "Oliy Darajali Imom Bukhoriy" is higher in degree than the Order "Imom Bukhoriy".

The Order "Oliy Darajali Imom Bukhoriy" is awarded for the high results achieved in the study and wide promotion in the international arena of the life and scientific heritage of great scientists and thinkers who have made a huge contribution to the development of science and culture, including Islamic enlightenment:

heads of foreign states and governments;

representatives of parliaments of foreign countries;

heads and representatives of international organizations, diplomatic missions, consular offices and other equivalent organizations, as well as foreign figures and scientists;

well-known statesmen and public figures, leaders and leading ulemas in the religious and public sphere, outstanding scientists, writers, teachers and scientific researchers of our country.

The Order " Imom Bukhoriy" is awarded for:

merits in a deep study of the scientific heritage of our great ancestors, educating the younger generation in the spirit of respect for the heritage of their ancestors, love and devotion to the Motherland;

fruitful work in studying the historical heritage of our people, embodying high humanistic ideas and sacred values on a systematic basis, preparing the necessary programs, manuals and scientific and practical recommendations for their use in religious education and spiritual and moral educational work;

activities to support research work, conduct propaganda and explanatory activities aimed at studying religious and social processes and issues of ensuring religious tolerance in the country;

merits in the prevention, development and application in practice of scientific and educational foundations for counteracting mercenary threats and actions against the religion of Islam based on the idea of "Enlightenment against ignorance";

great merits in studying the role and significance of Islamic civilization in the development of universal values, including the spirituality and culture of our people, as well as in the study of their scientific, theoretical and practical aspects.

The Order "Oliy Darajali Imom Bukhoriy" and the Order "Imom Bukhoriy" can also be awarded to other persons for special merits in the development of science and enlightenment.

Persons awarded the Oliy Darajali Imom Bukhoriy order are paid a one-time monetary reward in the amount of seventy times the base settlement amount, and persons awarded the Imom Bukhoriy order - in the amount of fifty times the basic settlement amount.

Senators approved the Law establishing this order.
