Were the Olympic venues damaged by the earthquake in Japan?

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Olympic facilities of Tokyo 2020 were not damaged by an earthquake in Japan, kyodonews.jp reports. As noted, on Monday a thorough inspection of these objects will be carried out.

“Representatives of the organizing committee said they had received reports that no problems were found at the Olympic venues, including temporary equipment,” the message says.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3 occurred on February 13 in northeastern Japan in the region of Fukushima prefecture in the Pacific Ocean.

The maximum tremor in Fukushima and Miyagi prefecture was 6+ on a seven-point Japanese scale. In Tokyo, the strength of the aftershocks was about 4 points. The number of victims of the earthquake reached 150 people.
