Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As you know, recently, according to the AIBA decision, professional boxers have a chance to participate in the Olympics and world championships. Only for this, the number of professional boxer fights should not exceed fifteen. From this point of view, we can confidently say that today professional and amateur boxing are inseparable concepts. It should be noted that at present, the national team of Uzbekistan consists of boxers who have already fought in professional boxing. Today we want to tell you about professional boxers of Uzbekistan and their positions in world rankings.
For information, there are four prestigious directions in professional boxing: WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO, and Uzbek boxers perform in each of them.
The above organizations, based on their criteria, annually announce ratings. To be more precise, a boxer can lead in one ranking, but in the other - will be at the end, or may not enter at all. Now we will introduce you to the rating for July.
The difference between WBC and other organizations is that the ranking includes 40 boxers.
The July rating included 7 boxers of Uzbekistan.
In the first lightest (-48.9) Khasanboy Dusmatov took 31 place. In the first welterweight (-63, 50) Shokhjahon Ergashev is in 32nd place. Another of our representatives in this category, Anvar Turopov, is in 40th place. Welterweight Kudratillo Abdukakhhorov (-66, 67 kg) climbed to sixth from eighth.
In the first middle weight category (-69.8 kg), the holder of the WBA Intercontinental champion belt, Isroil Madrimov, is on the 26th place. In the second middle weight category, Azizbek Abdugafurov (-76.2 kg) remained in second place. We remind you that Azizbek is currently the owner of the WBC Silver belt. Bektemir Melikuziev, who took 38th place, is also present in this category.
