Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the next plenary meeting of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the reason for the long controversy was a different definition in 21 legislative acts, including 5 laws of the concept of a large family.
According to the deputies, this indicates that not all families who really need the benefits provided by the state use them, and the principle of social justice is not respected when applying the rule of law in practice.
For a clear definition of the legal status of large families, the uniform application of this concept in the legislation and law enforcement practice, members of the lower house of parliament in the first reading considered the draft law "On Amending and Amending Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan."
The document makes an addition to the Family Code, which provides a definition of the concept of a “large family” and its legal status.
Namely, families with many children are those in which four or more children under the age of eighteen live with their parents or one of the parents, also studying full-time education, under the age of twenty-two.
In addition, the relevant articles of the Tax, Labor Codes and the Law on Employment are brought into line with the proposed addition to the Family Code.
According to the deputies, the adoption of the document will serve to eliminate a different approach in the legislation and law enforcement practice in interpreting the concept of a "large family".
The draft law was adopted in the first reading.
