Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 2 October 2019, a delegation of the Russian Federation headed by Chairman of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko accompanied by Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva visited the Presidential School in Tashkent.
The guests were given detailed information about the activities of this state specialized educational institution. It was noted that the school was opened in September 2019.
A school building and a dormitory for 168 students were built, as well as a hotel with 15 places for teachers. The school is provided with textbooks and teaching aids using modern methods.
Particular attention is paid to the selection of teachers, including 30 foreign specialists, as well as 72 domestic teachers.
Depending on the interests and abilities of students, in grades 9-11, learning involves the individualization of the educational process. The presidential school functions as a boarding school, that is, students live and study on the school grounds (on campus) for 5 days. On weekends, students' parents take their children home.
Pupils of Presidential schools are provided with free school uniforms and meals. The learning process in Presidential schools is carried out under the STEAM - education program (Science - natural sciences, Technology - technology, Engineering - technical creativity, Art - art, Mathematics - mathematics), which will allow gifted youth to further develop thinking, willpower, creativity and flexibility. Lessons in these areas are conducted in the state language.
During the visit, it was noted that the activities of presidential schools will provide an opportunity to educate a new generation of highly educated, talented young people who will make a special contribution to the further development of the country.
