The chairman of the Yuksalish movement meets with the US ambassador to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Akmal Burkhanov, Chairman of the Yuksalish National Movement, met with US Ambassador to Uzbekistan Daniel Rosenblum. The main issue on the agenda of the meeting was the current activities and efforts of the Yuksalish national movement to develop civil society in Uzbekistan.
Akmal Burkhanov informed the representatives of the US Embassy with the main mission and tasks of the Yuksalish National Movement, focusing on projects implemented in various fields and work to support NGOs in the regions.
In particular, it was noted that with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Partnership for Innovation program is being implemented in the republic, and strategic directions and a national model for the development of civil society are being developed in the framework of the USAID Judicial Reform Program in Uzbekistan.
The development and organization of the nationwide Yuksalish movement of expert discussion in Tashkent and the regions of the draft new version of the law "On non-governmental non-profit organizations", the launch of the online platform "Jamoatchilik.uz" in the direction of the population of proposals to the relevant ministries and departments aroused great interest among the guests .
