Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Presidential Decree “On Additional Measures to Further Improve the System of Professional Education” was adopted.
According to the Decree, starting from the academic year 2020/2021, a network of educational institutions is being created in Uzbekistan with the introduction of a new system of primary, secondary specialized vocational education and differentiated educational programs in accordance with the levels of the International Standard Classification of Education, with the approval of the list of educational institutions preparing the appropriate frames based on these programs.
In addition, the Decree determines that a total of 388 buildings of vocational colleges will be used as schools in accordance with the relevant list.
In the system of primary, secondary and secondary specialized vocational education, a network of professional educational institutions is organized, consisting of vocational schools, colleges and technical schools, where appropriate educational programs are introduced.
Wherein,
a) in vocational schools:
Graduates of 9th grade schools will receive a 2-year full-time education;
students are provided with a monthly scholarship in the amount of the basic calculated value and three meals a day at the expense of the State budget.
b) in colleges:
persons with at least a general secondary education, depending on the complexity of professions and specialties, are provided with state education and on a paid contract basis in the form of full-time, evening and distance education for up to 2 years.
c) in technical schools:
persons with general secondary education shall be provided with education on a state order and on a paid contract basis in the form of full-time, evening and correspondence education for at least 2 years, based on the complexity of professions and specialties;
graduates who graduate from technical schools have the right to continue their education at higher educational institutions in the relevant areas of undergraduate education starting from the 2nd year without passing entrance exams on the basis of an individual interview.
