Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of Uzbekistan signed a law “On introducing amendments and addenda to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
In accordance with the amendments to the Law “On the list of activities for which licenses are required”, the production, repair and sale of civilian and service weapons and ammunition are activities that will be licensed starting from 30 January 2020.
To date, the list of licensed activities indicates the production, repair and sale of hunting and sporting firearms, and ammunition to it, as well as cold weapons (except for knives of national types).
According to the amendments to the Law “On the execution of judicial acts and acts of other bodies”, the deadline for submission of a written opinion by an expert involved in the enforcement process is 15 days from the date of familiarization with the decision of the state executor.
Previously, no time limit was set.
Also, from 1 October 2019, a notice of the commencement of enforcement proceedings is sent as a short message to the e-mail or mobile phone of the recoverer or debtor using a special automated system, which allows to record the fact of sending and receiving the notice.
The law also introduced amendments relating to the implementation of the institution of mediation in the execution process.
In this case, the participation of a professional mediator.
According to the amendments to the Law “On Mediation”, in the case of the implementation of the mediation procedure in the process of enforcement proceedings, enforcement proceedings are suspended for the time it is applied, and the period for mediation is not more than 15 days.
