Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 11 July 2019, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhrom Babayev presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, after the ceremony, the parties discussed issues of relations between Uzbekistan and Poland.
Duda noted that Poland is interested in further strengthening cooperation with Uzbekistan on a wide range of issues. The positive nature of the friendly relations between the two countries and the large potential for building mutually beneficial cooperation were emphasized.
“In Warsaw, they closely monitor and positively assess the active regional policy of Uzbekistan, as well as ongoing reforms in various fields,” said Andrzej Duda. “From the very beginning, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has been pursuing an open foreign policy and has been able to eliminate the disagreements that have accumulated in the region and build trust.”
The ongoing reforms in the country have caused a significhttps://uzdaily.uz/storage/img/buildings/poland-president-palace.jpgant increase in the interest of the Polish business community in the Uzbek market. The most important factor for this is a safe and stable environment in Uzbekistan.
The President of Poland expressed satisfaction with the introduction of a visa-free regime for 30 days for Polish citizens on 1 February 2019, which has already doubled the number of Poles who visited Uzbekistan.
The conversation also expressed the intentions of the Polish side to develop ties with Uzbekistan in the field of education and science.
At the end of the meeting, the head of Poland expressed hope for the intensification of bilateral cooperation and conveyed the wishes of success and well-being to the leadership and people of Uzbekistan.
