Airbus intends to deliver 34 helicopters to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 April, French aircraft company Airbus signed a letter of intent to supply 34 helicopters to Uzbekistan, the Secretary of State to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne said.
According to him, this project is a continuation of the existing project, which has already been implemented for several years.
He added that helicopters contribute to strengthening the sovereignty of Uzbekistan and also allow equipping services with transport, for example, for medical evacuation.
Jean-Baptiste Lemoine noted that Airbus can supply Ecureuil helicopters to Uzbekistan.
Helicopter Écureuil adapted for operation in high altitudes and hot climates. The helicopter is used for a wide range of tasks, including fire suppression, power line monitoring, cargo lifting, pollination of crops, aerial video shooting, parachuting and geological prospecting.
The cost and delivery time of helicopters is not yet announced.
At the same time, according to his data, Thales has signed a contract for the supply of simulators for the training of pilots in Uzbekistan.
