The winners of the Japanese oratory competition are determined.

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 2 March 2019, the 27th Japanese language oratory contest was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
The event was organized by the Embassy of Japan, the Society of Japanese Language Teachers in Uzbekistan, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy with the assistance of the Japan Foundation, the Uzbekistan-Japan Center and the Representative Office of the Nagoya University in Uzbekistan.
The annual competition is aimed at stimulating the learning process among students, developing public speaking skills, developing Japanese language instruction in Uzbekistan, and also deepening the cultural exchange between Japan and Uzbekistan.
The competition was attended by 20 students from various educational institutions of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Fergana, Rishtan, Andijan.
According to the rules of the contest, the participants made a 5-minute speech in Japanese on a freely chosen topic, and then answered 2 questions on the content of the speech. At the same time, an expert jury assessed the level of language knowledge, rhetoric talent, as well as the quality of the internal content and the originality of speech on the chosen topic.
The first 6 prizes were awarded to:
1st place - Tian Violeta, topic: “Summer Grandpa” (TASHGIV)
2nd place - Akhrorova Honzodabegim, topic: “Palette painted black” (TSHUU)
3rd place - Bozorboev Sardorkhozha, topic: "Called Japanese" (UzGUMYA)
4th place - Makhmudova Shahinabonu, subject: “Special places in the bus” (UzGUMYA)
5th place - Ergashev Holmirza, topic: “Tragedy” (TASHGIV)
6th place - Alimov Munisakhon, topic: “See the world with the soul” (TASHGIV)
Those taking the first 4 places will travel to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan to participate in the Central Asian oratory competition in Japanese.
Special prizes received 4 participants:
Sherova Sarvinoz, topic: “The person I want to thank” (Lyceum TASHGIV, Almazar)
Sobirov Hasan, subject: "My message to the Japanese" (Uzbek-Japanese Center, Tashkent)
Nematov Sunnatilo, topic: “Try, do not give up!” (SamGIYa)
Amirova Yulduz, theme: "The stereotype of women" (UzGUMYA)
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. Nobuaki Ito, honored guests in the person of representatives of Japanese companies and organizations, representatives of universities, teachers of the Japanese language and students learning Japanese attended the competition.
