Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Uzbekistan Nasirdjan Yusupov met with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on 29 November 2018. It was reported by the press service of the head of Belarus.
During the meeting, the head of Belarus reaffirmed the country’s commitment to the full implementation of the roadmap for bilateral cooperation.
Lukashenko noted that a roadmap was recently approved - a plan of action for the future between the two countries. The document was signed by the Prime Ministers of Uzbekistan and Belarus.
“Tell Shavkat Miromonovich (President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyev. - Approx.) that I will strictly control the implementation of this plan, we are committed to its full implementation,” the Belarusian leader stressed.
Lukashenko said that cooperation between countries is developing very well and intensively. “The most important result of all this is that we have made up for the lag in our cooperation that has accumulated over the previous years,” he said.
He also underlined that during this period, countries managed to eliminate debts in the development of cooperation that had developed over the previous fifteen years or two.
Alexander Lukashenko said that the President of Uzbekistan is expected to visit Belarus at any time convenient for him.
The President of Belarus said that the ambassador will be supported to organize the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Belarus.
“We will always be a reliable partner for you, there are no closed topics for cooperation. We have already started to do a lot and we will do a lot more,” Lukashenka concluded.
