Uzbek, Belgian FMs discuss bilateral relations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 November 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium Didier Reynders, in Brussels.
The sides discussed bilateral relations, focusing on promising areas for further development of cooperation, including in Uzbekistan – European Union format.
The Belgian side expressed appreciation for Uzbekistan’s support for its candidacy in voting for non-permanent members of the UN Security Council election for 2019-2020.
It was noted that both sides attach great importance to deepening trade-economic and investment relations. Uzbekistan welcomes the intensification of the Belgian business community in implementation of mutually beneficial projects in such sectors of the economy as textile, electrical and construction industry.
During the meeting, the sides considered issues of deepening cooperation in environmental, cultural, humanitarian and tourism fields.
