Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An agreement on cooperation between the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan was signed in Moscow.
The document was signed within the framework of the meeting of the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Lebedev with the delegation of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Chairman Kozimdjan Kamilov.
Within the framework of the document, the parties intend to exchange experience on an ongoing basis on improving the judicial system, strengthening the role and prestige of the judiciary, the activities of various judicial institutions, ensuring the independence of the courts and training judges.
The agreement envisages the mutual exchange of information on the main legislative acts related to the organization and functioning of the judicial system, the formation of the judiciary, the exchange of literature on judicial proceedings, the problems of its reform and improvement, and advice on the most relevant and significant legal issues.
In addition, cooperation between the two countries is planned at the level of experience exchange between delegations and information on the most interesting events for mutual development, in which representatives of the Supreme Courts of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan participate. Within the framework of the agreement, we intend to study the experience of the Russian Federation in law-making activities, in information and communication technologies, and the structure of the judicial system - we will cooperate in these matters, Kamilov said
