Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russia and Uzbekistan are completing an intergovernmental agreement on the supply of Russian oil to the republic, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said on Thursday.
“Discussion of an intergovernmental agreement on oil supplies to Uzbekistan is at the final stage,” he said.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Energy Minister Kirill Molodtsov said that Gazprom Neft is exploring the possibility of supplying up to 1 million tonnes of oil to Uzbekistan next year, but everything will depend on the throughput of the transport system.
TASS earlier reported quoting the source familiar with the negotiations of the parties, Uzbekistan in the long term would like to receive from Russia 1 million tonnes of oil, and after 2020 to increase supplies to 3 million tonnes.
