Uzbekistan conclude contracts for US$332,0000 within framework of Baltic Fashion & Textile-2018

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan companies signed contracts and agreements for supply of textile and clothing and knitwear products for US$332,000 within the framework of International textile exhibition Baltic Fashion & Textile-2018 in Riga, Latvia, the press service of the Association "Uztekstilprom" said.
The delegation of the Association "Uztekstilprom" took part in the exhibition to establish direct contacts with potential buyers of products of the textile and apparel-knitting industry.
Uzbek companies presented single stand, which demonstrated all directions of textile production in the country. Among participants were Farg’ona Turon Tekstil, Abbos Meros Tekstil, Min Max Luxe Tekstil, Marg’ilon Bo’yoq Tekstil, Bellezza Tekstil, Tuqimachilik Sanoat Tekstil.
The stand consisted of a wide range of manufactured domestic textile products and information on the latest technologies introduced in the republic. Among them were men’s, women’s and children’s textiles and knitwear, towels and robes, sportswear, yarn and fabrics, etc.
Also on the first day of the event, the Uzbek textile enterprises "Farg’ona Turon Tekstil" presented their collections of women’s clothing in the spring-summer season of 2018 along with the leading European brands "Varan Latvija", "Black Swan", "Adrika", "Italian Fashion Agency" and Abbos Meros Tekstil.
For representatives of the fashion and textile industry, a business contact exchange was established between Uzbek companies with foreign partners from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Pakistan, India and other countries. Within the framework of the meetings, concrete agreements were reached, as well as agreements were concluded, including on the export of Uzbek textile products.
As a result of the exhibition, contracts and agreements were concluded for the supply of textile and clothing and knitwear products for a total of US$332,000.
Besides, during the visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Latvia, representatives of the Association "Uztekstilprom" held talks with Latvian textile companies Alita Fashion Ltd, Baltic Textiles, De Fonte Latvia, Ameri and ROSME.
In continuation of the planned meetings, the Uzbek delegation got acquainted with the production process and capacities of the Latvian textile enterprises "Ameri" and "ROSME".
The company "De Fonte Latvia" confirmed its readiness for cooperation and is currently planning to launch the production of textile products in Tashkent region. In this regard, the company is interested in buying fabrics and yarn from Uzbek companies for tailoring finished textile products for export. To discuss the details of the forthcoming transactions, the head of "De Fonte Latvia" A.Bykovskis at the end of April 2018 will visit Uzbekistan.
The company "Baltic Textiles" is ready to consider the possibility of importing Uzbek textile products, including by selling it in large chain stores "RIMI", "Maxima", as well as the possibility of further export of Uzbek products via "Baltic Textiles" to Poland and Germany. In this regard, the representative of the company in early October 2018 will visit Uzbekistan for detailed negotiations and conclusion of contracts.
During the negotiations with representatives of the company "ROSME", an agreement was reached on cooperation in the sphere of underwear production. The Latvian company expressed its readiness to sign an appropriate Memorandum of Understanding on the import of yarn, fabric from Uzbekistan, as well as the exchange of experience and specialists.
