World Bank supports innovative development of preschool education

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Preschool Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the World Bank held talks and discussed a number of issues related to development of the Education Sector Development Plan for period of 2018-2022.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Preschool Education, the plan will reflect all areas of education, starting with the preschool and ending with higher education.
As noted, the World Bank will analyze the situation with involvement of international experts in all areas of education, which will serve as the basis for the development of this plan and will provide technical assistance, the UNICEF Office in Uzbekistan will act as the coordinating agency.
At the state level, an interdepartmental group of specialists in the field of education, including Preschool education, will be formed. The development of the Education Sector Development Plan is planned to be completed by October 2018.
In the course of the mission, the World Bank team also discussed development of the concept of the project "Improving Early Childhood Development", which aims to improve access to preschool education, create an innovative educational environment and improve the quality of Preschool education.
At the talks held in the spirit of openness and confidence, issues of the current state and prospects for further development of constructive partnership were discussed.
