Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 January 2018, a meeting with a delegation of the Republic of Korea was held in the building of the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Korea in composition of the president of Evergreen Motors company Kim Chang Kin, chairman of the Korean Research Institute of Education and Training, honorary advisor to the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations, Yun Se Kim, chairman of the Association of Hospitals of National Universities, adviser to the Ministry of Health, Yun Tak Rim.
The purpose of the visit of the Korean delegation is to discuss the practical implementation of the agreements and projects achieved following the visit of the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Korea in November 2017, the press service of the Ministry of Labor said.
During the dialogue, the parties discussed the opening of the Center for Training of Uzbek Citizens in the Korean Language, as well as further assistance in training and employment in enterprises of the Republic of Korea.
Earlier in November 2017, at a meeting with the chairman of the Korean Research Institute of Education and Training, Yun Se Kim, issues were discussed on improving skills in human resources, employment systems and the process of residence and return of human resources to their homeland within the framework of acceptable policy between the parties, maintaining the level employment of the population taking into account the interests of the parties, as well as the possibility of cooperation on the basis of training and education of citizens expressing the desire to work abroad.
As a result of the meeting, a Memorandum was signed between the Korean Institute for Personnel Development and the Agency for External Labor Migration under the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Training and Employment Support Program.
In order to implement the above memorandum, the parties decided to open the Korean language training center in Uzbekistan in the first half of 2018 in Uzbekistan to obtain a work permit, a working visit, technical training, and to go to study in the Republic of Korea. At the same time, the Korean side will provide the Center with the necessary equipment to reach an agreement.
During the visit, the Uzbek delegation was acquainted with the main activities of the Centers for Support of Foreign Workers in the cities of Gwangju and Seoul.
In conclusion, the sides noted that the meeting was held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere and expressed readiness to discuss further steps of bilateral cooperation.
