Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An organized criminal group was revealed in Tashkent, which supplied spoiled meat from Kashkadarya region to markets and meat and sausage producers in Tashkent for 10 years.
According to “Akhborot 24” program of “Uzbekistan 24” TV channel, the law enforcement bodies of Uzbekistan stopped the activities of this group led by the native of Kashkadarya Bahrom Khaidarov.
The group bought spoiled meat at a price of 10,000-15,000 soums per 1 kg. Employees of the veterinary department of Chiraqchi district made fictitious documents.
The meat was delivered to underground shops in Zangiata and Tashkent districts. Here they were processed and supplied to the markets and enterprises in Tashkent city.
After processing, meat was sold for 25,000-30,000 soums per kg. Monthly the group supplied from 5 to 15 tonnes of meat products to markets and enterprises of Tashkent.
The proceeds from the sale of meat products were used to purchase cars and real estate.
Law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan opened a criminal case on this fact. Investigation is underway on this case.
