POSCO Daewoo to produce modules for solar panels and build solar photovoltaic station

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- POSCO Daewoo, a South Korean company, will implement a project to produce modules for solar panels and construction of solar photovoltaic stations in Uzbekistan.
President POSCO Daewoo Jung Sang Kim and chairman of the State Investment Committee of Uzbekistan Azim Ahmadhojaev signed an agreement on realization of the project.
Within the framework of the project, the South Korean company will organize capacities for production of modules for solar panels and the construction of 2 GW solar photovoltaic stations on the terms of public-private partnership.
The cost of the project is US$637.5 million. The volume of direct investments will make up US$127.5 million.
