High Tech City complex to be built in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- South Korean company POSCO-Daewoo will build an administrative and residential complex “High Tech City” in Tashkent.
The State Committee for Investments of Uzbekistan and the POSCO-Daewoo Corporation signed an agreement on implementation of a joint project to create a new administrative and residential complex “High Tech City”.
The project is expected to be create a multifunctional complex on a total area of over 60 hectares in Tashkent.
Within the framework of the project, office premises, shopping and entertainment areas, residential buildings and park areas will be constructed. The cost of the project is US$1.4 billion.
During the construction of the complex, it is planned to use “smart” technologies.
Currently, a joint working group formed from representatives of the State Committee for Investments and POSCO-Daewoo is developing a general concept for implementation of the project and is considering options for construction site for High Tech City complex.
