Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan signed contracts worth US$10 million at the VII Central Asian Trade Forum in Astana (Kazakhstan).
The delegation of Uzbekistan headed by Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Investments Shamil Burnashev took part in the forum and expert meetings within the framework of the regional cooperation format of the Central Asian states and the USA "C5 + 1".
Within the framework of the event, an Uzbek corner was opened in which visitors could get acquainted with the achievements of Uzbekistan in various fields. Being one of the most informative and colorfully decorated, the stand of Uzbekistan attracted great interest of the participants.
Representatives of the Central Asian countries discussed measures, being taken in their countries to develop economies, small and medium-sized businesses, transport and logistics potential.
The head of the Uzbek delegation acquainted participants with new opportunities in Uzbekistan, implementation of the Strategy of Action for five priority development directions in 2017-2021, which envisages liberalization of the economy, attraction of investments.
Shamil Burnashev informed the participants about efforts of the Government of Uzbekistan to develop entrepreneurship, activities of State Committee for Investments.
On the first day of the forum, the domestic company Golden Dried Fruits was awarded “For outstanding achievements in the field of production, processing and storage in vegetable production”.
