Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan next week, the statement of the press service of the Government of the Russian Federation said.
On 2-3 November, Dmitry Medvedev will pay the official visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan and attend a meeting of the Council of Heads of Governments of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Tashkent, the press service of the Russian government said.
Dmitry Medvedev will meet with the leadership of Uzbekistan. In particular, the Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov will receive Dmitry Medvedev on 2 November.
The sides will discuss a wide range of topical issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia. The sides will consider issues of expanding cooperation in trade, economic, investment, energy, industrial and agricultural fields.
The heads of governments of the two countries also intend to consider implementation of major joint infrastructural and high-tech projects.
Following the talks, the parties will sign a number of corporate, interdepartmental and intergovernmental documents.
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will also be received by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
On 3 November, Dmitry Medvedev will attend a meeting of the Council of Heads of Governments of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Tashkent. The meeting participants will consider the current issues of trade and economic cooperation in the CIS space.
