Uzbek doctors fly to Russian to help road accident victims

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A group of healthcare specialists flied to Russia to provide medical assistance to citizens of Uzbekistan, who were injured in a traffic accident in Vladimir region, the press service of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan said.
An accident, involving a bus and a passenger train occurred on 6 October 2017. As a result of the accident, 16 people were killed, including 15 citizens of Uzbekistan. Five citizens of Uzbekistan were hospitalized with various wounds.
The Ministry of Health stated that an operational group has been set up to provide assistance to the victims. The group is headed by the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Director General of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care Abdukhakim Khadjibaev.
The group includes a surgeon, a neurosurgeon, a traumatologist, an orthopedist, an anesthesiologist and a neurologist. They are provided with the necessary medical devices and medicines.
The Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care prepared reserve places for rendering emergency medical care to the victims. Additional medicines and other medical supplies have been delivered.
