Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan topped an updated ranking of promising countries for exports from Russia. The Russian export center published the ranking.
Uzbekistan rose seven positions up in new ranking of promising export routes for Russia, surpassing Poland.
The Russian export center noted that Uzbekistan’s participation in trade unions with Russia, the free trade regime, complementarity of trade (the degree of conformity of the commodity structure of Russian exports to the structure of the country’s imports), as well as the growth rates of GDP, helped Uzbekistan to move to top of the ranking.
In terms of imports from Russia, Uzbekistan holds 32nd position, and in terms of non-primary imports, which amounted to US$1.6bn in 2016, - 21st place.
Poland took the second place in ranking. Germany, Turkey and India entered the top five. In the new ranking, Kazakhstan took the 7th place, Tajikistan - 17th place, Kyrgyzstan - 20nd place and Turkmenistan - 51st place.
