IUT starts registration of students for Pre-University Courses from 1 August

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Continuing Education Center of Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) starts registration of students for Pre-University Courses on mathematics, physics and English language prepare themselves to university entrance exams and improve their knowledge.
Courses are open for young people, who study at professional colleges, academic lyceums or general schools, and plant to enroll to Inha University in Tashkent and other universities in Uzbekistan.
The goal of the courses is to promote and popularize Mathematics and Physics among young people, as well as create necessary conditions to study these subjects.
Online registration to IUT Pre-University courses will take place from 1 August to 20 August 2017. All interested young people should fill online form. IUT Continuing Education Center will hold placement exams on 22-24 August and studies will kick off in September 2017.
Young people can select one- or two-year Pre-University courses. Each academic year consists of three trimesters. IUT Continuing Education Center maintains strict control over education process throughout the period. Examinations are organized each trimester and only successful students receive opportunity to continue their studies in Pre-University Courses.
Core and elective subjects are offered to the prospective students, who are planning to apply to Inha University in Tashkent, based on selected direction. If prospective students want to apply to School of Computer and Information Engineering (SOCIE), they should study Mathematics and Physics, while to School of Logistics (SOL) – Mathematics and English language.
Students of IUT Pre-University Course receive several advantages. Pre-University Course provides a unique opportunity for students of colleges and lyceums, as well as general schools to become students of Inha University in Tashkent before entrance exams.
At the end of the Course, students should pass final exams and top 30% of the students of the Pre-University Course and those, who can get more than 60% of the total score, become the students of Inha University in Tashkent. At the same time, 1st and 2nd year students of lyceums and colleges are also given a chance to become students of Inha University in Tashkent before their graduation. They will be admitted to Inha University in Tashkent once they receive their diplomas or certificates from their colleges, lyceums or general schools.
It should be recalled that forty-two students of Pre-University Courses were admitted to Inha University in Tashkent in the result of Pre-University Final Exam, which was held on 20 June 2017.
34 of them were admitted to School of Computer and Information Engineering (SOCIE) and 8 students – to School of Logistics (SOL). They also received chance to take part in IUT entrance exams to compete for grants.
Last year, 82% of graduates of IUT Pre-University Course enrolled to universities. At the same time, about 61% of them became students of IUT. The Center expects that the figure will grow in 2017.
