Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will direct US$170.1 million for construction of Sergili line of Tashkent metropoliten (Tashkent Subway), the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.
The project “Construction of Sergili line of Tashkent metropoliten” will be realized in 2017-2020.
The project will be financed due to the resources of the State Budget of Uzbekistan (US$70.1 million) and loan of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan (US$35.1 million).
Another US$64.9 million will be attracted due to loans and other sources, the Uzbek Finance Ministry said.
The loan of the FRDU will be provided to purchase of import equipment, materials and spare parts, conduct construction-assembly works, etc.
The FRDU credit was provided for 15 years, including four year grace period. Interest rate on loan will make up 2.25% stake, including margin of refinancing rate – 0.25%.
Uzbekiston Temir Yollari is the main executor of the project and responsible for efficient use of loan of the FRDU.
The project participants received tax and customs preferences till 1 January 2021.
Sergili line of Tashkent metropolitan will consist of six stations. The length of the line will be over 8 km and it will be constructed 6 meters over the land.
The line will pass Choshtepa, Mirzo Tursunzoda and Qipchoq streets till Marli street.
