Uzbek Deputy PM holds negotiations with Turkmen President

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Ulugbek Rozukulov held negotiations with the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in Ashgabat.
Ulugbek Rozukulov arrived in Turkmenistan with the delegation of Uzbekistan.
Uzbek official said that Uzbekistan attaches great importance to the development of full-scale dialogue with Turkmenistan, which is based on mutual goodwill of the sides, filled with new content from year to year .
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation with its immediate neighbors, including Uzbekistan, which acts the strategic priority of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy.
At the meeting, the sides discussed current state and prospects of the Turkmen-Uzbek partnership in its key areas.
They noted that there are good opportunities for building productive relations in trade and economic sphere, the agricultural sectors and other spheres.
Among the current vectors of interaction it is also named the transport and communications sector, where Turkmenistan is implementing a number of large-scale projects of international significance. The optimal implementation of the existing potential cooperation in transit-transport sector meets the objectives of the dynamic development of the entire region.
Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited the representatives of Uzbekistan to take part in the first Global Conference on the sustainable transport system under the auspices of the UN, to be held in Ashgabat on 26-27 November 2016.
The sides expressed mutual confidence in the inviolability of good neighborly relations and successful continuation of constructive cooperation that meets the interests of both countries and peoples.
