Condolences books opened at Uzbek missions abroad

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Diplomatic missions and consular institutions of Uzbekistan in foreign states opened books of condolences from 3 September 2016, Jahon news agency reported.
According to the agency, the books were opened in connection with the death of the first President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov and announced three days of national mourning.
The agency said that members of governments and parliaments, political, business, cultural and scientific-academic circles, public organizations and ordinary people are bringing flowers and writing notes to the books of condolences.
On 2 September 2016, First President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov died at the age of 78 after serious illness.
Uzbekistan declared three days of national mourning in connection with the death of Islam Karimov from 3 September 2016.
