Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Students of Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) receive chance to take part in various summer schools, courses and seminars.
From 25 July to 12 August 2016, ten students of IUT participated in the International Summer School at Inha University in the Republic of Korea. About 300 students from 63 universities and 20 countries attended the Inha Summer School.
Ten participants of the Summer School from Inha University in Tashkent were selected within internal university contest. The winners of these contests received right to participate in Inha Summer School-2016 free of charge. Five of the contests were directed to development of information-communication systems, while other half was dedicated to nurture socially responsible students.
At the Summer School, students participated in such courses as Korean Business and Economy, East Asian Politics and International Relations, Modern Future Technologies and others.
Nodira Ibragimova underlined: “During the summer school, we studied such subjects as Global Business English, East Asian Politics and International Relations and others. For sure, the summer school allowed us to improve our knowledge. Within the lessons, we also visited Ganghwa Island. We worked in groups with foreign students at the lessons. We made friendship with them and exchanged information about countries, cultures and traditions.”
The students also had chance to familiarize with culture and attractions of South Korea. In particular, within the courses on Korean culture, the students got acquainted with national costumes and meals of Korean people, K-Pop dances and songs, etc. IUT students also paid visit to the Presidential residence known as Blue House, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul Tower at Namsan Mountain, as well as Everland Attractions Park in Yongin.
Shahzod Bohidjonov underlined: “The organizers of summer school included visits to touristic objects of the Republic of Korea. We visited Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul and Songdo-dong Park in Incheon, as well as other attractions. We watched a baseball match among local teams, which was also interesting for us. The organizers thought through every detail and were able to show us life of Korean people, their history and culture. It was very interesting and informative.”
The Uzbek delegation also visited Nanta Show. “Nanta is a non-verbal comedy show that incorporates traditional samul nori rhythm. The show was very interesting. All actions of the show take place in the kitchen. Manager asks cooks to prepare to a wedding banquet within a strict time limit and installs his incompetent nephew among the kitchen staff. The show involves acrobatics, magic tricks, comedy, pantomime and audience participation. The performance is almost completely non-verbal, which also makes it interesting,” Jahongir Bahodirov said.
Summer school participants also participated in the Korean culture contest. About 15 groups presented their performances, related to culture, music and dances of South Korea.
Farangiz Nishonova noted: “First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to leadership of Uzbekistan and administration of the university to opportunities, created for youth, to attend such summer schools. Within the Inha Summer School, we participate in Cultural Contest. In our performance, we tried to show our impressions from our trip to South Korea. We presented Uzbek music, Korean song and modern dance.”
Another participant of Summer School Munavvara Husniddinova said: “I recommend to all students of Inha University in Tashkent to participate in upcoming Summer Schools of Inha University in Korea. Summer school enables me to realize my potential. I had great opportunity to exchange and share my skills with my foreign friends. It also boosted my confidence.”
